Islamic mortgage lender Tamweel (TAML.DU) said on Wednesday it had applied to the Securities & Commodities Authority, the national markets regulator, for the resumption of trading of its shares.
Tamweel, which stopped trading its shares in November 2008, said in a statement on Dubai's bourse website that it is awaiting further developments.
On Tuesday, Arabic daily Al Ittihad reported that Tamweel shares will resume trading on the Dubai bourse .DFMGI in the next ten days.
