The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) declined in the first trading session since the start of Ramadan.
"Trading activity is very low, there is not that much interest," said Marwan Shurrab, the vice president and chief trader at Gulfmena Investments, based in Dubai.
"It's the first trading day in Ramadan and most people are on a wait-and-see scenario for a catalyst to determine the next market move."
