Oil Extends Gain From Two-Week High as U.S. Stockpiles Decline - Bloomberg

West Texas Intermediate for September rose 0.5% to $72.76 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange at 8:11 a.m. local time. Brent for September, which expires Friday, gained 0.6% to $75.16 on the ICE Futures Europe exchange, after adding 0.4% on Wednesday. Its prompt timespread was 81 cents a barrel in backwardation -- a bullish market structure -- compared with 64 cents a week earlier.
