Dubai's Department of Finance said in a statement on Thursday that it appointed Brunswick Gulf, part of Brunswick Group, as communications adviser for the emirate’s US$20 billion fund that will support state-affiliated companies.

"Brunswick has been appointed to provide communications advice and support specifically on the establishment of the Support Fund, which has been set up following the launch of the USD 20 billion funding programme," the statement said.

"The appointment of Brunswick reflects a significant change in the scope of our requirement and relates to the specific task of the establishment of the Support Fund. I am confident that this appointment will help us communicate the next phase of the bond programme and achieve the highest levels of transparency. We would like to thank Finsbury for their strong counsel over the first half of the year.” Abdulrahman Al Saleh, Director General, Department of Finance, said.

Brunswick has 15 offices globally including a strong presence in the UAE. It provides informed advice at a senior level to businesses and other organizations around the world, helping them to address critical communications challenges that may affect their valuation, reputation or ability to achieve their ambitions.

Dubai hired investment bank N.M. Rothschild & Sons in April to offer advice on managing the fund.END
